ME 155B - Control System Design

Course Objective

Develop a proficiency in dynamic system modeling using state-space methods, understand notions of controllability and observability for state-space sytems. Use state-space methods for control design including pole placement and linear quandratic regulator methods. Learn how to design observers to estimate system states for feedback control. Extensive use of MATLAB and SIMULINK.
